Why Can't I Change the Words on the Talker Homescreen?

Core words, or high frequency words, are the most frequently used words for new language learners! They're the basic building blocks of language and help express wants and needs. It’s important that your child has quick access to these words, since they’ll use them most often in a wide variety of situations. Having the words in the same spot every time supports motor planning.

Pro tip: you can change the grid layout of your Core Words in the Talker to show either 6, 12, or 24 icons at a time! To do this, launch the Parent App and tap the Settings Gear > Scroll down to Talker > Grid Controls > Symbols per Page.
